Course Introduction

🎀 Beginner Singing Group Course

Whether you’re just starting your musical journey or looking to begin formal singing training, our program is designed to provide an engaging introduction to vocal performance.

About the Course

Our Beginner Singing Group Course is perfect for students of all ages who are new to singing lessons. Taught by professional vocalists, the course covers essential singing techniques and music theory in a fun and interactive group setting.

We always do our best to place students with others at a similar level to ensure balanced progress. Students who already have experience with the piano are encouraged to consider individual lessons, which offer a more tailored learning experience.

What You Will Learn?

  • Proper Breathing and Posture: Learn how to breathe correctly and maintain good posture for effective singing.

  • Vocal Techniques: Understand how to use your voice properly, including pitch control and tone.

  • Reading Music: Understand how to read traditional sheet music and musical notations, including treble clef and/or bass clef on the five-line staff.

  • Singing Songs: Apply what you’ve learned by singing a variety of songs.

  • Vocal Harmony: Enjoy singing in harmony with your peers.

Additionally, students will have opportunities to participate in the half-yearly student concert to showcase their progress (registration required).

Course Duration & Registration

The length of our group course depends on the progress of the class as a whole. The course typically runs for two to four terms. Some classes β€” especially those with older or particularly quick-learning students β€” may move through the beginner level quickly. In rare cases, if there aren’t enough registrations for the second term, the course may end after one term, though this is uncommon

During the first two terms, families can choose to:

  • Register for both terms together and receive a 10% discount, or

  • Register for one term first with an option to re-enroll laterβ€” a flexible option we offer in the first term to allow students to explore the instrument before making a longer-term commitment.

If the course continues into a third and fourth term, we may offer combined-term registration to help maintain a stable, supportive learning environment. In some cases, students may be re-grouped mid-term or at the end of a term to better match learning pace and support progress.

Progress Reviews & Next Steps

As students develop, we regularly assess whether the group setting continues to support their learning. If the content becomes too advanced for a group format or if more focused support is needed, we may recommend transitioning to individual lessons.
